The lack of information about bone anchored hearing aids/BAHA in health/hearing care, pre-school and school is great. There are also a large unknown numbers of children that are candidates for bone anchored hearing aids/BAHA.
Parents of children with bone anchored hearing aids/BAHA need more information to be proactive and more involved in their child's habilitation (modern family intervention), pre-school and school situation. Professionals need more information to answer the questions from parents and to be able to support the child and the family in the rehabilitation process (family intervention), preschool and school.
Therefore Barnplantorna produced in cooperation with Sahlgrenska University Hospital in 2012 an information film about bone anchored hearing aids with the purpose to support parents.
The Film was Sponsored by:
• The Oticon Foundation – William Demants og Hustru Ida Emelies Fond,
• Chalmers,
• Comfort Audio AB och
and produced by Xtrovert Media.
